Campfire Radio Theater Wins Podbean Top 10 Podcast For 2019!

Once again Campfire Radio Theater lands in a Top 10 spot and we are grateful! Podbean has hosted over 250,000 podcasts since they have been around and we are glad to be one of them. I found out recently that Campfire Radio Theater had around 250,000 downloads for the year, which is quite a wonderful surprise! While CRT only produced a couple of new episodes for 2019, people are still listening/downloading the series. Campfire Radio Theater is a small outfit, really. John Ballentine, the producer and creator of the show, started CRT in 2011 and has created 23 episodes since then. CRT has also featured three outside productions from great audio drama creators (The Woman In The Basement, Intensive Care, and God of the Razor). I was brought on as a composer in 2014. Since then, I’ve also contributed a bit of acting, writing, and producing. Campfire Radio Theater is alive and well and John and I continue carving out bits of time in order to produce new shows. It’s not always easy, but I feel it is always rewarding.

2019 had its share of setbacks (some technological, some health, and others), yet there remain new stories to tell. For those who keep asking for more, it’s on the way. I am currently working on a production of “Gerald,” a great story from Bill Gray that was originally produced for Nightfall (CBC). Bill has been kind enough to grant CRT permission to produce two of his stories, the first being “The Dentist” that was released by CRT back in 2013. I look forward to sharing our adaptation of “Gerald” and hope to release it in the next couple of months if all goes well. In addition to “Gerald,” I know John has a stack of stories in various stages of development while I have a few I am working on as well.
