Campfire Radio Theater – “The Heretic’s Handbook”

Campfire Radio Theater - "The Heretic's Handbook" Once again, we are fortunate enough to have such a talented cast to create such fiendish fun. John's notes for the music on this was in a more abstract direction, which I was more than happy to oblige. This episode is perfect for people who enjoy hiking...maybe. Enjoy! "At river's edge, a group of figures waited. I can only assume now... they were waiting for me." A romantic woodland retreat spirals into a terrifying ordeal as newlyweds Trent and Mia fall prey to a pagan religious order. Warning: Contains explicit language and graphic......

Campfire Radio Theater – “The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea”

Campfire Radio Theater - "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" Months ago, John told me about a story he had been working on for quite some time. When he described it to me, I was really excited to hear how it would turn out, especially with his sound designing skills. Once he sent over the scenes, I knew the fantastic sound design was a big feature of the story, so the score had to illuminate that or stay out of the way. I kept it relatively simple and John made a few tweaks to create the final edit. The......

Campfire Radio Theater – “Desecrate”

Campfire Radio Theater - "Desecrate" John Ballentine's notes for the music presented yet another new enjoyable challenge for me. characters. One of the best parts of scoring this horror anthology is the diversity of stories. From different parts of the world to different time periods, you never know what may be next. "Philamena was a seer, a psychic by modern vernacular. And somewhere among these stones is her gravesite... Tonight, we're going to contact her." On All Hallows' Eve, a graveside Ouija board session descends into a nightmare unveiling a web of lies and betrayal between longtime friends... and perhaps......

Campfire Radio Theater – “Ties of Blood” (pt. 1&2)

Campfire Radio Theater - "Ties of Blood" (pt. 1&2) "Ties of Blood" has been one of my favorite stories to work on. I had recently picked up the Novachord & Solovox releases from Cherry Audio and new that those would be a great way to create a blend of B-Movie retro sounds mixed with some contemporary touches. As with all of the episodes I have worked on, they all come with interesting challenges. As always, John created a beautiful sound designed world to drop the music into. The cast were absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights for me is......

Campfire Radio Theater – “Last Resort”

Campfire Radio Theater - "Last Resort" The latest episode of Campfire Radio Theater comes from a story outline I shared with John quite awhile back. He did a fantastic job turning it into something quite horrific, which comes as no surprise. I've been cooking up stories for years, but I tend to prioritize music over writing stories, so those remain unfinished for now. "Last Resort" is a perfect title for the story (something else John is quite good at creating). As a musician, I played my first professional gig in 1978, just a few weeks after turning twelve years old.......
