New Release! The Sounds of Nightmares 5

New Release! The Sounds of Nightmares 5! Welcome to volume 5 of The Sounds of Nightmares! It has been almost eight years since I joined the horror anthology podcast Campfire Radio Theater as composer. Including this new volume brings the total to 214 released tracks. From carousel music to teeth-chattering dark ambient compositions, it has been a great challenge thus far and I look forward to the next volume! Please consider sharing with a friend, adding to playlists, or simply listening in the dark while alone. Coming soon to Spotify, Apple Music, et al. Thank you for listening! Cheers, Kevin......

Campfire Radio Theater – “Abominations”

Campfire Radio Theater - "Abominations" A brand new episode of Campfire Radio Theater has just been released to give you a fright. Please do have a listen, preferably in the dark somewhere that is very quiet. Bonus points for listening with headphones while alone. Composer side note: This episode presented a fun challenge of writing a piece of carousel music. Thanks to John Scott Ballentine for always providing me with entertaining challenges as a composer. A small town carnie with big ambitions is spooked and intrigued by the uncanny abilities of a mysterious old man living under the carnival fairgrounds.......

Campfire Radio Theater – “The Bones of Saint Nicholas”

Campfire Radio Theater - "The Bones of Saint Nicholas" John Ballentine presents a wonderfully twisted Christmas story, not to mention a wonderful musical challenge for me, in the latest episode of Campfire Radio Theater. Being a fan of "Silent Night Deadly Night" (especially the score) made this project even more fascinating to work on. There is something about blending holidays and horror together that is intriguing, especially when that holiday happens to be Christmas. This episode also features Dani Aviles, someone I have collaborated on various music projects over the last 10+ years. She provides her usual high-quality vocals on......

Campfire Radio Theater – “The Ghost of Lori Keegan”

Campfire Radio Theater - "The Ghost of Lori Keegan" In composing music for audio drama, I make every effort to create the strongest emotional connections between the music and the story. I'm no stranger to being bullied as a kid, and being a parent of two children, this story presented a real challenge for me. It was painful to hear the experiences of Lori unfold, but it provided a truly visceral experience to draw upon emotionally. This episode helped me to dig deeply into my own psyche and channel music that I believe helped illuminate this powerful story created by......

The Sounds of Nightmares 4

The Sounds Of Nightmares 4: Music Composed For Campfire Radio Theater Thirty-one tracks of fiendish audio have been released for The Sounds of Nightmares 4: Music Composed For Campfire Radio Theater! Quite a few tracks were written for "Gerald" before the show went into production and more were written during the process. For those not familiar with the story, "Gerald" was originally written by Bill Gray for CBC's Nightfall (horror anthology series) and is set in 1983. Having grown up in the 80s and with a love of synthesizers, this score was something I could really sink my teeth into.......
