Campfire Radio Theater – “Desecrate”

We are proud to present “Desecrate,” a seasonal tale about secrets, betrayal, and sins that refuse to stay buried.

One of the best parts of scoring this horror anthology is the sheer diversity of the stories. From different parts of the world to different time periods, you never know what is coming next. For this episode, creator John Ballentine’s notes for the music presented a new and enjoyable challenge: balancing the tension of a psychological drama with the creeping dread of the supernatural.

The Story of Desecrate

“Philomena was a seer, a psychic by modern vernacular. And somewhere among these stones is her gravesite… Tonight, we’re going to contact her.”

On All Hallows’ Eve, a graveside Ouija board session descends into a nightmare. What begins as a thrill-seeking adventure for longtime friends unearths a web of lies and betrayal between them… and perhaps opens a doorway to something far more disturbing.

As the characters dig deeper, both literally and metaphorically, they discover that some secrets are better left in the dark.
