Campfire Radio Theater – “The Resurrectionist” (Parts 1 & 2)

We hit the open road with 18 wheels and 36 tons of tractor-trailer in this special two-part release. “The Resurrectionist” is an original tale by John Ballentine that blends the grit of a 70s road movie with the chills of supernatural horror.

Featuring Jessica McEvoy as Jamie, this story takes listeners on a journey across the American highway system, a place where ghosts hitchhike and secrets are buried in the asphalt.

The Story: Ghosts on the Highway

“According to the ancient book of verse, only three women in the modern age of witchcraft would be capable of raising the dead… The last would be born during a decade of turmoil but well before the dawn of the new millennium.”

Jamie Cutler, known on the CB radio as “Skeeter,” recalls her harrowing childhood traveling cross-country with her trucker father. But theirs was no ordinary haul; they were pursued by a mysterious cult obsessed with Jamie’s unique abilities.

Along the way, they gain allies and enemies, both living and deceased, in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse that spans state lines and the boundary between life and death.

  • “The coins clinking into the pay phone and the unmistakable sound of rotary dialing. Love it.”
