Campfire Radio Theater: Triumphant Parsec Awards 2017 Winner!

What a great way to bring in the New Year! I am thrilled to share that Campfire Radio Theater has won the prestigious 2017 Parsec Award for the episode “Woods Ferry” in the category of Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Short Form).

The Parsec Awards have long been a gold standard in the podcasting community, dedicated to recognizing excellence in speculative fiction. To see this project recognized among such talented finalists is a huge honor. Congratulations to everyone who worked on the episode, and a huge thanks to showrunner and creator John Ballentine for allowing me to be a part of such an excellent production.

About the Episode: Woods Ferry

If you haven’t listened to “Woods Ferry” yet, you are in for a chilling experience. The story follows weekend explorers on a quest for antique treasures who stumble upon a lost town at the end of a long dirt road. They soon uncover the unspeakable truth behind the decades-past evacuation of Woods Ferry.

The episode is filled with atmospheric horror, blending sound design and voice acting to create a palpable sense of dread. It is exactly the kind of storytelling that makes Campfire Radio Theater a standout in the modern audio drama landscape.

Composing the Score for Campfire Radio Theater

The score for “Woods Ferry” was great fun to work on. The goal was to capture the isolation of the setting, a ghost town forgotten by time.

You can stream and download the score for my album, The Sounds Of Nightmares 2: Music Composed For Campfire Radio Theater, below. This collection features various tracks I’ve composed for the anthology, designed to be the soundtrack for your own nightmares.
