Oblivion Sound Lab has released Dark Vision II, a vintage horror soundset for u-he Diva.
This collection takes a deep dive into the film scores of the late 1970s and early 1980s, featuring 127 patches that evoke the synthesizer-heavy soundtracks of classic horror movies, giallo thrillers, and obscure video nasties.
Inspired by the Masters
Drawing inspiration from pioneering composers such as Goblin, John Carpenter, Walter Rizzati, and Jay Chattaway, as well as modern revivalists like Steve Moore, this soundset is a toolkit for tension.
Inside, you will find ominous analog basses, spine-tingling bells, howling leads, and funereal organs. Most patches have parameters mapped to the modwheel and aftertouch for expressive performances, and NKS presets are included for Native Instruments hardware.
Critical Acclaim
“The care and detail with which these sounds have been designed is astonishing.”
— Jamie Blanks, director/composer (Urban Legend, Valentine)
“Another excellent, vibey and engaging pack. Verdict: 9.0”
