A Scottish Podcast Fundraiser
The good people over at A Scottish Podcast are in need of some support and could use your donations. Matthew McLean, the producer of A Scottish Podcast, is a really talented writer, actor, director, and producer of audio drama. He is also one of the creators of the Audio Drama Production Podcast and the Facebook ADPP forum of the same name. Both the ADPP and the Facebook ADPP forum have contributed greatly to the art form of audio drama and the community, bringing hundreds and hundreds of actors, producers, musicians, writers, and others together. Matthew has also contributed some great work to Campfire Radio Theater, the horror anthology I work on. Unfortunately, his current workstation/laptop is in dire need of replacement. Please consider throwing a few dollars/pounds his way if you can.
What is A Scottish Podcast? It’s referred to as “A Lovecraftian Trainspotting.” If that doesn’t give you enough to go on, then this may fill in a few more gaps for you.
“A Scottish Podcast is a serialised modern audio drama. It chronicles the story of Lee, a washed up former radio DJ who launches a paranormal investigation podcast.
Lee wants to see his show The Terror Files mentioned up there alongside podcasts like The Black Tapes, Limetown, and The Message. And he’ll stop at nothing to achieve it.
Aided by his jaded musician pal Dougie, the pair travel the length and breadth of the country in search of Medieval Demon Kings and Lovecraftian Gods of the Sea.
So why not join them on this unique tour of the ancient and mystical lands of Scotland?
You’ll walk through the long-forgotten catacombs under Edinburgh. Sail out to the lonely and abandoned island of St. Caillic. Visit dingy pubs, run-down industrial estates, and obscure non-league football grounds.”
