ZBS Release “Ruby 10: The Black Star of Summa Nulla”

Ruby 10: The Black Star of Summa Nulla

ZBS has released the latest installment of the Ruby series! The ZBS email newsletter sent out notification that “Ruby 10: The Black Star of Summa Nulla” was released today and I immediately purchased it! Fans of ZBS know how much love and care goes into the production of every story they produce. From the mind-bending Meatball Fulton stories to the impressive scores by Tim Fulton, it’s always a good day when a new ZBS production shows up.

The ZBS website has this to say about the new Ruby story.

Ruby is back, and this time she’s out looking to twist Kapoor’s little neck. Yes, the Rodent has gotten her into yet another mess. How this came about – Kapoor started his own detective agency. He doesn’t call himself a P.I. (Private Investigator), he calls himself a P.S. (Private Snoop). But then he accepts a case that’s way over his head. It’s about a gemstone called The Black Star of Summa Nulla, a stone some people believe can predict the future.’

The Sounds Of Nightmares 2

The Sounds Of Nightmares 2: Music Composed For Campfire Radio Theater

I am pleased to announce that volume 2 of The Sounds Of Nightmares has been released today! It took awhile to assemble everything, but in the end I compiled 38 tracks together. Tracks featured in this collection are from “Woods Ferry,” “Rites of Autumn,” “Abduction At Willow Woods,” and “Ravenous.”

My connection with Campfire Radio Theater began a few short years ago and has been one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences in my musical career. While I have had good fortune to play many styles of music with a lot of different musicians over the decades, finding my home at CRT has been extremely rewarding. My love for audio drama began as early as my interest in music, so finding myself involved in being a part of creating that very type of art form is like coming home.

John Scott Ballentine, the creator of Campfire Radio Theater, was also kind enough to trust me with his audio drama “baby” and let me take on production duties for the most recent episode titled “Ravenous.” This, combined with my usual musical composition duties, was a wonderful experience (albeit a LOT of work).

It was a pleasure creating and assembling this collection of music just as much as I enjoy working on Campfire Radio Theater. I do hope you will take a moment to listen and to share it with anyone you know that may also enjoy it.

Cheers!
Kevin

Campfire Radio Theater – “Ravenous” released today for Audio Drama Sunday

Campfire Radio Theater – “Ravenous”

I am proud to announce the release of the latest episode of Campfire Radio Theater! It was a pleasure working on the “Ravenous” episode from the horror anthology series. On top of my usual scoring duties, John Ballentine was kind enough to trust me with his baby and allow me to co-produce the episode. One of the best parts of working on this story was enlisting the help of my wife Christina and our children to play small parts and contribute foley work. It was one of those strange moments in life where you find yourself dragging your wife across the floor (very carefully, I might add) while both of you try your hardest not to burst out in laughter at the absurdity of it all. Whatever it takes to get the job done, right? It’s all for the sake of entertaining the listeners! :D

I do hope you will take a moment to listen and write a review on iTunes afterwards. We would greatly appreciate it!

Campfire Radio Theater: “Woods Ferry,” “Rites of Autumn,” & “Abduction at Willow Woods”

Campfire Radio Theater: “Woods Ferry,” “Rites of Autumn,” & “Abduction at Willow Woods”

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, so it’s time to catch up on Campfire Radio Theater! I have three episodes from the horror anthology series podcast to share today.

First up is “Woods Ferry. Fans of H.P. Lovecraft horror will find this story particularly entertaining!

“Weekend explorers on a quest for antique treasures stumble upon a lost town at the end of a long dirt road and soon uncover the unspeakable truth behind the decades past evacuation of Woods Ferry.”

You can listen to the “Woods Ferry” episode of Campfire Radio Theater below.

Next up is “Rites of Autumn.” It’s the latest Halloween offering from CRT and it’s quite fiendish to say the least!

“A young boy spends an autumn afternoon with his grandpa who passes on a few very unique and disturbing Halloween traditions.”

You can listen to the “Rites of Autumn” episode of Campfire Radio Theater below.

The latest offering is “Abduction at Willow Woods.” This psychological thriller is a slight departure (pun intended) and was recorded in binaural 3D sound!

“Two old friends unearth lost secrets from their youth when they revisit the wooded site of an otherworldly encounter.”

You can listen to the “Abduction at Willow Woods” episode of Campfire Radio Theater below.

I will be assembling the next volume of music collected from Campfire Radio Theater episodes soon, so be on the lookout for “The Sounds of Nightmares: Volume 2!”

That’s all for now!
